Requirements

  • A Bachelor’s degree in Life Sciences (Pharmacy, Chemistry), Supply Chain Management, or Business Administration.
  • A minimum of 10 years in pharmaceutical procurement, external supply, or manufacturing operations.
  • Proficiency in ERP systems like SAP or Oracle, as well as procurement tools.
  • Deep understanding of the pharmaceutical product lifecycle, including tech transfers, launch management, Current Good Manufacturing Practices, regulatory submission processes.
  • Strong negotiation and communication skills.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Proficiency in supply chain management software and tools.
  • Ability to build and maintain relationships with diverse stakeholders.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Knowledge of industry trends and market dynamics.

Nice To Haves

  • MBA is a plus.
  • Certified Supply Chian Professional(CSCP) certification or Council of Supply Chain Management Professionals (CSCPM) SCPro certification desired.

Responsibilities

  • Manage and develop relationships with key suppliers to enhance collaboration and efficiency.
  • Negotiate contracts, pricing, and terms of service with suppliers.
  • Monitor supplier performance and compliance with contractual obligations.
  • Conduct regular reviews and audits of supplier practices and processes.
  • Work closely with Commercial and Portfolio teams to align supplier strategies with organizational goals.
  • Resolve any supplier-related issues or disputes in a timely manner.
  • Analyze market trends and supplier performance data to identify opportunities for improvement.
  • Provide training and support to internal teams on supplier management best practices.
  • Responsible for sourcing negotiating, procuring and managing multiple commodities for new product development and/or base business maintenance.
  • Coordinate with Product Development and Project Management to identify and manage New Product Development Projects.
  • Responsible for end-to-end supply of products from managed suppliers.
  • Completes necessary risk analysis research in support of business critical projects; identifying potential solutions for mitigating risk.
  • Identifies and implements opportunities and/or processes to support Continuous Improvement initiatives.
  • Maintain cost control, delivery schedules and inventory levels based on desired goals and objectives.
  • Provide Supply Plans to suppliers and manage supplier reviews.
  • Attends industry conferences to source new products and manufactures.
  • Perform other duties as directed by the Head of External Manufacturing & Supply.
