About The Position

Supply Chain Analyst is part of Supply Chain Services, supporting Sales and Operations throughout the entire organization. While there are some Daily and Weekly functional responsibilities, analytical projects account for a majority of the job function. Ideal candidates will have experience with Inventory Management, MRP software, Cost Optimization, multitasking projects, and analytical problem solving.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent amount of education and related experience.
  • Three years Supply Chain Analytics, Inventory Control, or Data Management preferred.
  • Demonstrated ability to prioritize and manage multiple projects.
  • Demonstrated ability to translate discount schedules, vendor incentive programs, packaging, minimum requirements, and other variables into an ERP system.
  • Ability to functionally use multiple, large data sets, and apply analytical approaches to derive desired information from them.
  • Excellent Microsoft Office skills, especially Excel. Able to use advanced analytical features such as pivot tables and functions.
  • Able to interact with Sales associates to understand Customer-facing issues, explain company policies and practices, negotiate appropriate solutions to issues, and create positive outcomes.

Nice To Haves

  • Bachelor’s degree in Industrial Distribution or Engineering is preferred.
  • ISO or AS9100 experience preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Analyze performance of Stocking and Non-Stocking Items, based on all variables and metrics associated with the products.
  • Analyze data within product groups to determine optimal workflow and MRP functions.
  • Execute changes to Item Master Data based on supplier and internal communications.
  • Identify and propose recommendations for underperforming Stocking Items.
  • Create reporting and actionable communication for Sales representatives in relation to stocking programs and inventory performance.
  • Manage Customer Protected Inventory (CPI) program, including analytics, reporting and communications.
  • Analyze the impact of changes to Discount Structures, Buying Programs, Lead Times, etc., and propose solutions to mitigate impact and achieve desired outcomes.
  • Manage the inventory stratification process and make recommendations to Stock.
  • Work with Sales on projects requiring Supply Chain Services to serve the Customer.
  • Assist in designing/testing advancements for MRP and operational workflow.
  • Other duties may be required.
