About The Position

The Supply Chain Analyst will serve as a key resource in ensuring the delivery of all materials required by NHF in accordance with company quality objectives, project budget and agreed upon schedule. This includes but is not limited to procurement, material management, logistics, project management, and ERP maintenance functions.

Requirements

  • Knowledge and understanding of core supply chain principles.
  • Experience in demand creation within an ERP system.
  • Basic fundamentals of project scheduling.
  • Ability to work with, manage and document performance related to suppliers.
  • Understanding of functions related to procurement and materials management.
  • Strong computer skills, including working knowledge of email, MS Office, and similar software.
  • Ability to work in a team environment.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Strong organizational and analytical skills.
  • Ability to travel as required.
  • Ability to sit, work, collaborate on a computer as needed for project work.
  • Ability to stand for periods of time as needed for project work.
  • Bachelor of Science or Associates Degree in Engineering and/or Supply Chain Management.
  • Purchasing and/or vendor management experience.
  • Production planning and/or experience in ERP/MRP environment.

Responsibilities

  • Participate in pre-construction activities related to scope & vendor award of NHF engineered buyouts related to curtainwall and associated activities.
  • Review vendor pricing proposals for scope completeness and identification of any gaps. If gaps are found, re-negotiation or supplemental actions may be required.
  • Management & reporting relative materials procurement budget. Project budgets are jointly created & agreed upon jointly within the Operations, Supply Chain and finance department. After a project turn-over from the estimating department, the budget is agreed upon and in the event of deviation, margin erosion mitigating efforts must be taken. This is decided among the project stakeholders (supply chain as one of them).
  • Create & maintain organizational tools utilized to promote good communication with up-stream and down-stream departments.
  • Maintenace of supply chain related project scheduling activities.
  • Responsible for the import process that transitions engineering demand into the ERP environment.
  • Regular monitoring inventory levels versus project demand to ensure control of surplus stock levels.
  • Timely release of purchased materials as new engineering releases are.
  • Ability to maintain procurement best practices and maintain high level of professionalism throughout the buyout process.
  • When applicable the supply chain analyst will negotiate long-term agreements with suppliers based on bulk buys. They will have to work with project teams to understand overall project requirements even if there is no demand yet in the system. These buys will then need to be monitored throughout the life of the project to ensure maintenance of surplus inventory.
  • Provide planning with firm PO delivery dates with adequate buffer to support the production schedule.
  • Communicate supply chain issues in a timely manner so that contingency plans can be discussed and implemented.
  • Lead project meetings & documentation for distribution to greater team.
  • Maintain a friendly and professional relationship with vendors while promoting a need to maintain company objectives of quality production delivery on time and maintaining budget.
  • Proactive communication with vendors in relation to KPI performance.
  • Work with suppliers to ensure their WIP schedules and delivery dates align with our production needs.
  • Help to mitigate or solve any vendor invoicing issues.
  • Maintain department KPI’s.
  • Purchase Order maintenance including but not limited to: PO due date, receiving issues, drop ship receipt and pricing discrepancies.
