About The Position

Eaton’s AER MSD Mission System Division division is currently seeking a Supply Chain Buyer. This role is based at our Davenport, IA facility. The expected annual salary range for this role is $71000 - $105000 a year. Please note the salary information shown above is a general guideline only. Salaries are based upon candidate skills, experience, and qualifications, as well as market and business considerations. What you’ll do: The primary role is to obtain quotes with optimal pricing, generate compliant purchase orders, and communicate with the assigned supply base to ensure timely delivery of complex components and assemblies to the Eaton MSD Davenport Factory. In this function you will: • Procure a variety of goods and services in accordance with company policies in an MRP/ERP environment. • Review and issue purchase-orders and make necessary changes to include: obtaining quotes, negotiating costs, payment terms, and related issues. • Expedite and track required parts or processes to support production schedules. • Serve as liaison between internal Eaton customers and suppliers. • Assist in resolving supplier related quality and billing issues. • Perform duties in accordance with FAR, DFARS, and other government regulations in accordance with Eaton policies and procedures. #LI-LD1

Requirements

  • Associates degree OR high school diploma and minimum 2 years of procurement experience in a manufacturing environment
  • No relocation is offered for this position. All candidates must currently reside within 70 miles of Davenport, IA to be considered. Active-Duty Military Service member candidates are exempt from the geographical area limitation.

Nice To Haves

  • Bachelors degree in Business, Supply Chain, Finance, or Engineering
  • Working knowledge of supply chain modules in ERP or MRP systems
  • Experience reading blueprints
  • MS Office experience (Excel, Word, Powerpoint, and Outlook)
