The Supply Chain Coordinator is responsible for supporting the Purchasing department with the procurement of supplies for WHA, as well as providing support for various services, according to established standards and processes. Performs administrative duties related to the supply cycle. Assists in the development and maintenance of best practices, quality improvement and strategic process changes to promote efficiencies within the Purchasing Department.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED required.
  • At least two years of purchasing or supply chain experience required, healthcare industry strongly preferred.
  • Two years of customer service experience required.

Responsibilities

  • Monitors and maintains the supply cycle by effective use of materials management software.
  • Accurately identifies, research and resolves receiving concerns, including mis-ships, damaged product, returns, exchanges and other delivery issues.
  • Accurately processes varied medical product recalls as needed, per manufacturer and vendor instructions.
  • Responsible for varied administrative tasks such as database master maintenance, maintaining neat files, invoice matching and managing substitutions of discontinued items.
  • Manages back-orders, assuring timely delivery and product availability.
  • Communicates back-orders to contacts at clinical sites on a regular basis, per Purchasing Department guidelines.
  • Assists with item standardization, pricing revisions, contract compliance reporting, site stock room organization and research on items being considered for purchase.
  • Assists in bid preparation and analysis for furniture, capital equipment and other items as needed.
  • Performs various stockroom duties. This may include stocking shelves, climbing on a stepstool, lifting boxes, stooping, and carrying.
  • Coordinates deliveries and installation of furniture, equipment and other supplies as needed.
  • Assist in managing medical equipment repair and other facilities related concerns.
  • Manages office supply orders for all WHA sites, ensuring contract and policy compliance.
  • Reviews and approves purchase orders for medical- surgical supplies.
  • Responsible for administrative office supply orders. This includes keeping appropriate par levels, placing orders as needed and stocking items to their designated storage space upon arrival.
  • Maintains an understanding of medical supplies and the equipment requirements of the clinics.
