Position: Supply Chain Director- USMCA Location: Fort Wayne, IN Job Description: Strategic Leadership Develop and implement an integrated supply chain strategy for the U.S. and Mexico locations aligned with corporate and customer objectives. Oversee departmental budgets for both regions, ensuring cost efficiency and financial performance. Build and maintain strategic relationships with key suppliers, logistics providers, and internal stakeholders across both countries. Serve as a key liaison between the U.S. and Mexico operations to ensure consistency in supply chain processes, communication, and performance. Lead, coach, and develop supply chain teams at both locations, fostering collaboration, accountability, and continuous improvement. Represent the organization externally and internally, promoting company capabilities, standards, and strategic initiatives. Act as an internal and external representative of the organization, promoting company capabilities and ensuring alignment with corporate goals. Direct and mentor supply chain personnel, fostering continuous improvement and employee development. Represent the organization externally and internally, promoting company capabilities, standards, and strategic initiatives. Procurement & Vendor Management Oversee purchasing operations, ensuring compliance with company policies and procedures. Oversee purchasing activities for both U.S. and Mexico plants, ensuring compliance with corporate policies and legal requirements in each country. Negotiate vendor contracts, pricing, and service agreements to achieve the best possible value and delivery performance. Evaluate supplier performance and identify new supply sources in North America when current vendors are inadequate. Establish and maintain supplier agreements, account terms, and blanket purchase orders while monitoring cost trends. Monitor cost of inbound freight across the U.S. and Mexico, identifying and implementing cost-reduction opportunities. Logistics & Material Flow Manage all inbound and outbound logistics to ensure the timely and accurate movement of goods between suppliers, plants, and customers. Oversee domestic and cross-border transportation management, optimizing freight modes, carriers, and customs processes. Ensure goods arrive at customer facilities in both the U.S. and Mexico on time, in full, and within quality standards. Collaborate with internal teams to improve lead times, delivery performance, and logistics cost efficiency. Maintain housekeeping standards and operational excellence in all shipping and receiving departments. Inventory & Asset Management Manage Direct inventory control strategies to balance working capital, customer demand, and material availability across both regions. Reduce excess and obsolete materials while maintaining 100% order fulfillment. Oversee warehouse and asset management, ensuring efficient space utilization and compliance with safety and quality standards. Control releases to minimize obsolescence while supporting production schedules and customer requirements. Monitor stock levels and develop cross-border inventory visibility and reporting processes. Performance & Reporting Develop and track supply chain performance indicators (KPIs) across U.S. and Mexico operations. Provide regular reporting and analysis on freight costs, supplier performance, and inventory accuracy. Ensure compliance with company policies, trade regulations, and import/export requirements. Lead or participate in cross-functional projects to improve cost efficiency, service levels, and system integration between both sites. Collaboration & Representation Collaborate effectively with international teams, including headquarters in Germany and supply chain teams in Mexico and the U.S. Serve as an external and internal representative of the organization; support corporate goals while promoting our location’s best interests, conveying expertise in Supply Chain, Logistics, and Purchasing, the organization, its products, and its capabilities. Follow all Quality Management Systems, the Environmental Management Systems, and, when applicable, support VOSS Automotive Mexico in adhering to their systems as well. Participate in plant recycling programs. Perform other duties as assigned. Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or related field; MBA preferred. 8+ years of progressive experience in supply chain management, purchasing, or logistics, with at least 3 years in a leadership role. Strong negotiation, analytical, and problem-solving skills. Proven ability to manage budgets, drive cost savings, and improve operational performance. Excellent leadership and communication skills with the ability to influence across all levels of the organization. Experience with ERP/MRP systems and supply chain analytics tools; SAP experience preferred.
