About The Position

POSITION SUMMARY This position serves an operational resource for Mount Nittany Health’s Supply Chain and Supply Distribution departments. This role provide hands-on experience with healthcare logistics and healthcare procurement, including order delivery and fulfillment, supplier coordination and process improvement initiatives across the departments. The candidate will gain insight into how healthcare supply distribution and procurement operates, including processes, operations and financials. The candidate will assist with and gain insight into the application and execution of long-term, strategic projects and initiatives within Supply Distribution and Supply Chain. This is a paid, temporary, full-time position. MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS Education: Currently pursuing an associate’s degree, with a cumulative 3.0 GPA High school diploma required Experience: None required Knowledge, Skills, Abilities: Conducts business in a professional and cordial manner that upholds the integrity and reputation of Mount Nittany Health System Highly organized, detail-oriented, strong analytical, strong self-starter. Legally authorized to work in the United States and must not require sponsorship for employment visa status now or in the future (ex. H1-B, F-1). Knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite: Excel, Word, PowerPoint is required. Exceptional problem-solving and communication skills License/Certification/Registration: None required SUPERVISION RECEIVED Receives direct supervision from the Manager of Logistics and Manager of Supply Chain SUPERVISION GIVEN None Responsibilities ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS Supports department initiatives and operational activities within the Supply Chain and Supply Distribution departments Assists in data collection tasks and analysis related to department initiatives and operational activities Assists with the development and implementation of departmental processes and procedures. Gathers, cleans, and organizes data to assist in current and on-going projects. Provides support to department projects that enhance the operations of Mount Nittany Health Assists with essential daily department functions such as procurement, distribution and contract management and renewal. Performs related and miscellaneous tasks as assigned. NON-ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS Performs related and miscellaneous duties as assigned.
