About The Position

Eaton’s AER MSD Mission System Division division is currently seeking a Supply Chain Program Manager. This role is based at our Davenport, IA facility. The expected annual salary range for this role is $97000 - $143000 a year. This position is also eligible for a variable incentive program. Please note the salary information shown above is a general guideline only. Salaries are based upon candidate skills, experience, and qualifications, as well as market and business considerations. What you’ll do: The primary role is to manage all supply chain required planning, execution, control, and closeout activities for assigned projects or programs. Responsible for leading and managing one or more complex projects to deliver the agreed scope within planned quality, time and cost parameters to satisfy the specified project and/or program requirements and drive for customer and stakeholder satisfaction. Supporting the overall business case, targeted margins, and cash flow objective. This position is located in Davenport, IA.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree Required
  • 5 years of experience working on complex projects or in a project team lead role
  • 5 years of experience working within procurement/supply chain, within a manufacturing or technology environment
  • No relocation benefit is being offered for this position. Only candidates that currently reside within 70 miles of the Davenport, IA facility will be considered. Active-Duty Military Service member candidates are exempt from the geographical area limitation.

Nice To Haves

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering, Business, Operations, Project Management or Supply Chain.
  • PMP / CAPM / APICS Certification or equivalent.
  • Sufficient knowledge of functional disciplines and program management.
  • Knowledge and demonstrable experience of project program management (PPM) techniques.
  • Demonstrated ability to work in a cross functional team providing impact without authority
  • 5 years of experience managing supplier and customer relationships.

Responsibilities

  • Deliver project to agreed time, cost and quality parameters. Managing risks and issues proactively. Delivers product(s) for each project, phase or stage through Supply Chain, meeting first pass approvals through each stage of the tollgate review process.
  • Ensure effective and open communications throughout the project team and stakeholders.
  • Reviews project proposal or plan and provides input for pricing and purchasing strategy including core context reviews, make-buy plans, and developing an outsourcing strategy, as required, ensuring total cost of ownership is evaluated.
  • Monitors Program Health with a specific focus on parts pipeline health; raises concerns to appropriate parties and creates action plan to proactively address concerns
  • Contract management of existing contracts and supplier performance, conduct gap analysis, and develop recommendations and implementation plans. Participates in the supplier development qualification process, and leads projects to improve quality, cost and delivery performance with suppliers.
  • Seek to minimize the effects of change ‘scope creep’, ensure changes are formally tracked and processed in alignment with the IPT. Manage the changes and contract variations to optimize cost and margins.
  • Coordinates with Commodity Managers, Buyers, Suppliers, and other necessary parties to ensure that Program parts pipeline is healthy, and that parts are being purchased at price levels that will support Program margin requirements
  • Works directly with Sales Program teams to support all purchasing-related Program needs including ensuring accurate data is being sent to buyers for correct PO placement requirements (i.e. contractual items, approved sources)
  • Acts as the Supply Chain point of contact to the customer, which may require attendance at customer meetings, providing reports to the customer, etc.
  • Defines and addresses supplier risk management throughout the development process.
  • Understand contractual flow downs, quality, qualification, technical specifications, and current terms and conditions for improvement opportunities. Protection of Eaton intellectual property.
  • Compiles status reports on Program part health for senior management, client, or others
  • Confers with Sales Program teams to provide technical advice and to resolve problems
  • Works within an organization that is geographically dispersed and located at multiple sites
  • Occasional direct people-management responsibility (contract admin labor etc.)
  • Performs other duties as requested, directed or assigned
