About The Position

The Supervisor Supply Chain is responsible for assisting with the daily supervision of the warehouse teams. Supports supply chain management activities within the Retail Division, and provides coaching to employees to support the highest level of customer service and professionalism. RESPONSIBILITY LEVEL: Implements strategies to achieve the goals for the organization and supports supply chain management activities. Implements, revises, and sustains policies, procedures and programs. Typically works on projects and initiatives that span 3 - 12 months.

Requirements

Two years of college education or experience equivalency, and a minimum of 3 years' experience.
Valid driver's license.
Flexible schedule. Nights and weekends may be required as business warrants.
Must have working phone that allows for communication accessibility.

Nice To Haves

Coursework, training and/or work experience in Logistics Management a plus.
Forklift experience preferred

Responsibilities

Project and Change Management: Effectively plans and manages own work to reliably complete routine job responsibilities and special assignments. Follows through on learning, skill building, and practice necessary to adapt to change.
Problem Solving: Light supervision; works independently. Periodic review of work by manager or senior coworker. Solves problems of moderate to advanced complexity; able to identify root cause, interpret data and resolve issues.
Technical Skill: Understands and applies professional principles and skills within area of specialization to modify processes to resolve situations.
Community Engagement: Champions Goodwill's community engagement initiatives and serves as an ambassador for Goodwill in the wider community.
Maintain consistent use of established methods to assure customer supply chain needs are provided timely and efficiently to both internal and external customers.
Observes donation trends with the ability to forecast loads and communicate with vendors to coordinate timely pick-ups, while ensuring the highest level of service is maintained with commodities product quality and accurate load weights.
Ensure operating procedures and policies are followed, along with asset protection and safety guidelines in accordance with company standards.
Supervise the efficient space layout and product allocation to ensure continuous flow of goods.
Consistently provides exceptional customer service while monitoring and coaching employees to do the same.
React to business needs and adjust work plan, schedules and resources to meet demands and specifications.
Follow defined processes for protection and usage of high value company assets including but not limited to forklifts, and other equipment.
Assure utilization of maintenance systems to ensure on-going Preventative Maintenance programs are in place and equipment is maintained in excellent operating condition.
Assist with interviews. Provides training and coaching of new and existing employees to increase employee satisfaction and maximize productivity.
Responsible for completing other duties/responsibilities as assigned.
