This position reports to: IS Application Business Owner __ The work model for the role is: Onsite #LI-Onsite Your role and responsibilities: As part of NEMA’s global Digital Tools & Technology team, the Supply Chain Specialist will support the execution of the digital strategy across NEMA’s global supply chain operations. In close collaboration with other functions of the Digital Tools & Technology team, you will help drive adoption of innovative technologies and systems that reduce complexity and enable strategic supply chain objectives. This role will work with cross-functional teams to optimize integration of supply chain data and systems with Manufacturing, Quality, Logistics, and SIOP (Sales, Inventory, & Operation Planning). Also, will play a key role in ensuring our supply chain systems meet the needs of the business today while readying our operations for the future. Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree with minimum 2 years supply chain experience OR Associate’s Degree with minimum 4 years supply chain experience.
  • Strong understanding of end‑to‑end supply chain processes, data flows, integration points, and Industry 4.0/digital supply chain concepts (automation, analytics, AI).
  • Proficiency with analytical and reporting tools (Power BI – preferred) and Microsoft Office 365 (Advanced Excel, PowerPoint, Word, SharePoint), with strong analytical, problem‑solving, and detail orientation abilities.
  • Effective cross‑functional collaborator, able to build trust with partners, manage competing priorities independently, and consistently deliver high‑quality work.
  • Candidates must already have work authorization that would permit them to work for ABB in the US.

Nice To Haves

  • Preferred technical experience with ERP Systems SAP SCM modules (WM/MM/PP/SD) (Preferred), ERP implementations or enhancements, and familiarity with databases, programming concepts, and big‑data fundamentals.
  • Commitment to continuous learning, with APICS/CPIM certifications a plus and a strong interest in staying current with emerging supply chain technologies and innovations.

Responsibilities

  • Provide expert support for supply chain systems, including troubleshooting, resolving user issues, maintaining compliance with SOPs/governance, and supporting audits with documentation and demonstrations.
  • Partner with IS and business teams to evaluate, test, and approve system enhancements or SAP SCM module changes (MM, PP, WM, SD), ensuring solutions meet business and technical requirements.
  • Lead user readiness and adoption activities by coaching and training users, delivering documentation, and supporting rollout of new solutions and process changes.
  • Drive continuous improvement and innovation by becoming a subject matter expert in supply chain systems, staying current on digital best practices, and identifying opportunities to leverage emerging technologies (AI, IIoT, AR/VR).
