As a Surgery Veterinary Technician, you will play a vital role in providing exceptional care to our surgical patients. Your responsibilities will include: Anesthesia Monitoring : Strong technical skills and anesthesia fluency is vital for this role. Intubating/extubating patients, monitoring anesthesia, and troubleshooting equipment. Diagnostic Support : Collecting and preparing blood samples for diagnostic testing. Equipment Knowledge : Maintaining expertise in the use and application of surgical tools and materials. Surgical Assistance : Performing sterile scrub duties and assisting veterinarians with procedures such as abdominal explorations, cruciate repairs, fracture repairs, thoracotomies, and laparoscopic/arthroscopic surgeries. Patient Care : Monitoring and maintaining patient vitals during all stages (awake, sedated, and anesthetized) and advocating for patient comfort and safety.
