Certified and non-certified Veterinary technicians with surgery and anesthesia experience are strongly encouraged to apply. As a surgery and anesthesia technician, you will embark on a fulfilling journey where your skills make a real difference. Here’s what you can look forward to Assist in managing cases, collaborating closely with our board-certified surgeons and highly skilled technicians. Participate in patient assessment, diagnostics, treatments, and procedures alongside each surgeon. Execute, monitor, and recover all assigned sedation and anesthetic events. Assist in all operating room duties as a circulating nurse and scrub-in technician during orthopedic and soft tissue surgeries. Provide empathy, comfort, and unparalleled nursing care to all patients, being a strong patient advocate during their hospitalization. You are able to work well independently and in a team environment, leading by example and holding oneself accountable for quality medicine and customer service. You exhibit flexibility, dependability, responsibility, and possess excellent attention to detail and time management skills. Requirements

  • Minimum of 3 years working as a veterinary technician, preferably in specialty medicine with a focus on surgery, specialty surgery, anesthesia, and emergency.
  • LVT or CVT is preferred, but not required.
  • An understanding of all basic veterinary knowledge, including triage, restraint, diagnostic imaging, venipuncture, phlebotomy, laboratory equipment and procedures, etc.
  • Experience planning, monitoring, managing and recovering anesthesia patients for a variety of abdominal, thoracic, orthopedic, and minimally invasive procedures, surgical prepping and positioning.
  • Knowledge of common surgical instruments and their uses and experience calculating and administering CRI medications appropriately.
  • Attention to detail, with strong communication skills with both clients and team members.
  • Fluent English skills (speaking & reading) are required for the role; fluency in multiple languages a plus.
