About The Position

Requirements

  • Completion of an accredited surgical technology program.
  • Experience in an operating room setting, particularly with endoscopic procedures.

  • Attention to detail is crucial, as the Endoscopy Surgical Technician must ensure that all instruments are accounted for and properly sterilized.

Nice To Haves

  • Certification as a surgical technologist (CST) or equivalent.

Responsibilities

  • Prepare the operating room for endoscopic procedures by ensuring all necessary instruments and equipment are sterile and ready for use.
  • Assist surgeons and other medical staff during endoscopic procedures by passing instruments, suctioning, and maintaining the sterile field.
  • Monitor patient vitals and assist in positioning patients for optimal access during procedures.
  • Maintain accurate records of surgical procedures, including instruments used and any complications that arise.
  • Participate in the cleaning and sterilization of instruments and equipment post-procedure to ensure compliance with health regulations.
