Surgical Tech Extern - OR, PRN - Midtown
About The Position
Responsible for handling the instruments, supplies, and equipment necessary during the surgical procedure. Has an understanding of the procedure being performed and anticipates the needs of the surgeon. Has the necessary knowledge and ability to ensure quality patient care during the operative procedure and is constantly on vigil for maintenance of the sterile field. Functions in partnership with licensed staff. Performs patient care duties for clients of various age groups under the direction of a Certified Surgical Technologist and/or a Registered Nurse.
Requirements
- H.S. Diploma or General Education Degree (GED) Required
- A student currently enrolled in an Accredited Surgical Technologist program, in their last semester, and graduating within six months Required
- Graduate of an Accredited Surgical Technologist program without a hands-on clinical rotation.
- No experience required Required
- BCLS - Basic Life Support Upon Hire Required
