About The Position

We are seeking a highly skilled Certified Surgical Technologist with experience in Cardiovascular OR (CVOR) – Pediatric Heart Surgery . This role involves supporting complex pediatric cardiac procedures, maintaining a sterile surgical environment, and assisting surgeons with precision and efficiency.

Requirements

• Minimum 2 years of Pediatric Heart Surgery experience (REQUIRED)
• Minimum 2 years of overall Surgical Technologist experience
• Graduate of an accredited Surgical Technology program or equivalent military training
• Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) – Required
• BLS Certification (AHA) – Required

Responsibilities

• Prepare and maintain a sterile field for pediatric cardiovascular surgeries
• Scrub and assist in CVOR procedures following AORN/AST standards
• Handle surgical instruments, supplies, and equipment with accuracy
• Assist with case cart preparation, OR setup, and room turnover
• Operate and monitor sterilization equipment per established protocols
• Participate in on-call rotation as required
• Maintain and update surgeon preference cards and inventory
• Ensure compliance with hospital policies, safety standards, and quality initiatives
• Collaborate effectively with surgeons, nurses, and surgical team members
• Support high-quality patient care in a fast-paced, specialized environment
