About The Position

In this role, you will lead efforts to grow SUSE’s business through strategic partnerships and channel programs, working closely with sales teams across North America. You will be responsible for driving new market growth, increasing revenue, and managing alliance initiatives from planning through execution. This position offers the opportunity to collaborate with cross-functional teams, coordinate customer events, and manage sales campaigns while tracking performance metrics and programmatic success. You will engage directly with partners and clients, providing technical insights and enabling sales opportunities, all within a fully remote environment. This role is ideal for a proactive, results-driven professional with a strong technical understanding of IT infrastructure, virtualization, and cloud technologies.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Management, Information Technology, or related field.
  • At least 3 years of experience in sales, pre-sales, business development, or project delivery for IT infrastructure, virtualization, or cloud software.
  • Strong understanding of IT data center compute hardware, software, and services.
  • Experience with sales campaigns, partner/distributor engagement, and sell-through business models.
  • Knowledge of North American IT infrastructure market buying cycles, including x86 CPU technologies.
  • Excellent project management, organizational, and communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently, drive results without supervision, and manage multiple priorities.

Nice To Haves

  • Familiarity with State/local government, SMB/MM commercial transactional sales cycles is a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Lead North American initiatives to grow SUSE business through channel partnerships, targeting 30–50% year-over-year growth.
  • Collaborate with regional sales teams and worldwide alliance partners to identify opportunities and execute strategic programs.
  • Coordinate and support customer events, promotions, and sales enablement activities.
  • Track sales progress, project milestones, and allocated budgets to ensure goals are met.
  • Provide regular status updates and performance reporting to leadership, including big deal support and partner metrics.
  • Manage multiple projects and issues simultaneously, ensuring timely execution and alignment with business objectives.
  • Serve as a technical first point of contact for partners and clients, delivering insights on IT infrastructure, virtualization, and cloud solutions.
