About The Position

Ensuring the continued operation and maintenance of a product or system throughout its lifecycle, focusing on identifying, reviewing, and resolving deficiencies, and driving continuous improvement.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering
  • Expect 1-3 years mechanical engineering experience with ability to develop fixtures, create engineering change notices, drawings and various reports
  • Formal and informal presentations on numerous topics
  • Project management principles to the unique challenges of engineering projects, focusing on transforming ideas into tangible results by coordinating resources, tasks, and stakeholders to ensure successful outcomes within time, cost, and quality constraints
  • Basic mechanical skills, such as operating hand tools, using measuring equipment, and understanding basic machining processes
  • Understanding of various manufacturing processes, such as machining, casting, and welding, is important for designing and building mechanical systems
  • Fundamental knowledge of tolerance analyses for critical to fit and critical to quality dimensions
  • General knowledge and application of simulations (FEA, CFD, system modeling)
  • Ability to learn new technologies and adapt to changing circumstances
  • Must possess strong computer skills, including MS Office applications

Nice To Haves

  • Master’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering
  • Intermediate knowledge and usage of CREO Parametric/Solidworks CAD software
  • Knowledge of product reliability, failure mode analysis,
  • Experience in lab and manufacturing environments
  • Experience with: product definition, design development, validation testing, component qualification, release to manufacturing, sustaining
  • Knowledge and awareness of Value Add and Value Engineering analysis techniques
  • Knowledge of Engineering Change processes in Windchill (PTC)

Responsibilities

  • Troubleshooting and Problem: Solving, Identify, analyze, and resolve issues related to product performance, reliability, and manufacturability
  • Root Cause Analysis: Conduct thorough investigations to determine the underlying causes of problems, ensuring effective solutions.
  • Utilizes Agile & Lean development methodologies: and effectively operates with a global mindset
  • Design Modifications and Enhancements: Implement changes to existing designs to address issues, improve performance, or reduce costs.
  • Change Management: Manage and coordinate changes to product designs, manufacturing processes, and documentation.
  • Documentation: Maintain and update technical documentation, including bills of materials (BOMs), drawings, and procedures.
  • Compliance: Ensure products and processes comply with relevant industry standards and regulations.
  • Field Event Investigations: Assist in investigating field issues and implementing corrective actions.
  • NPI Support: new product transfer from engineering to manufacturing
  • Project Management: Applies appropriate techniques to ensure on-time delivery, quality and cost
  • Supplier: Interfaces with external suppliers and design partners to ensure quality driven processes are implemented and followed
  • Continuous Improvement: Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance product quality, reduce costs, and improve overall performance.
  • Travel: Limited, including international may be an opportunity.
