JOB SUMMARY: The Senior Vice President of Revenue Cycle Management (SVP, RCM) provides strategic, operational, and financial leadership for all global revenue cycle functions across the organization. This executive oversees large-scale, multi‑country teams responsible for end‑to‑end RCM delivery—including Patient Access, Health Information Management (HIM), Coding, Billing, Accounts Receivable (A/R), Denials Management, Cash Applications, and Reporting—serving primarily hospital systems (99% of client base). The SVP drives operational excellence, ensures achievement of key performance indicators (KPIs) and financial targets, and leads headcount planning and workforce optimization across onshore and offshore teams. This role also partners closely with Product and Engineering to guide the development, enhancement, and optimization of the organization’s proprietary RCM technology platform, ensuring it meets internal performance needs and client expectations.

Requirements

  • 15+ years of progressive leadership experience in healthcare Revenue Cycle Management, with significant executive‑level oversight.
  • Deep expertise in hospital RCM operations (acute care, multi‑facility systems, academic medical centers, IDNs).
  • Proven experience managing large-scale, global teams—including offshore operations in India or similar markets.
  • Strong financial acumen with direct accountability for budgets, KPIs, and operational P&L performance.
  • Demonstrated success in partnering with Product/Engineering teams to shape and deploy RCM technology solutions.
  • Exceptional executive communication skills and ability to influence internal and external stakeholders.
  • Bachelor’s degree required; Master’s degree (MBA, MHA, MPH) preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Strategic Leadership & Vision Develop and execute the global RCM strategy aligned with corporate objectives, growth plans, and client expectations.
  • Lead long‑range planning for operational expansion, technology integration, and delivery transformation across the U.S., India, and emerging markets.
  • Serve as the executive thought leader for RCM innovation, automation, and process optimization.
  • Operational & Financial Management Oversee end‑to‑end RCM operations for hospital system clients, ensuring service excellence, compliance, and predictable performance.
  • Own operational KPIs, including cash acceleration, DNFB, AR days, denials, clean claim rate, productivity benchmarks, and client‑specific SLAs.
  • Manage a large global workforce (thousands+), including headcount planning, organizational structure, workforce forecasting, recruitment strategy, and succession planning.
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives that increase efficiency, reduce cost-to-collect, and enhance quality.
  • Monitor and manage operational P&L, budgeting, and financial performance.
  • Technology & Product Partnership Act as the executive sponsor for RCM technology strategy, ensuring the in‑house proprietary software platform evolves with operational needs and client requirements.
  • Collaborate with Product, Engineering, and Data/Analytics teams to prioritize feature development, workflow enhancements, automation, AI/ML capabilities, reporting tools, and system stability.
  • Provide operational insights to ensure platform usability, scalability, and compliance with healthcare regulations.
  • Drive adoption of new product capabilities across operational teams and client programs.
  • Client & Stakeholder Management Serve as a senior executive point of escalation for large strategic hospital system clients.
  • Build and maintain executive‑level relationships with client CFOs, revenue cycle leaders, and operational leadership teams.
  • Present performance reviews, operational insights, financial impact analyses, and RCM strategy recommendations to client leadership.
  • Partner with Sales and Account Management on renewals, expansions, solutions design, and pricing strategy.
  • Compliance, Quality, & Risk Management Ensure all RCM operations comply with federal, state, and international regulations—including HIPAA, CMS guidelines, payer policies, and data security requirements.
  • Oversee quality assurance, audit programs, and the development of standardized policies, procedures, and controls.
  • Mitigate operational risks, strengthen internal controls, and champion a culture of accountability and integrity.
  • People Leadership & Culture Lead, mentor, and inspire a diverse global leadership team; establish a high‑performance culture focused on operational excellence, innovation, and customer satisfaction.
  • Champion DEI, employee engagement, and leadership development across the organization.
  • Promote transparent communication and collaboration across all operational, technical, and cross‑functional teams.
