About The Position

Eaton’s AER FMC Fuel Motion Control Systems division is currently seeking a Sweeper (2nd Shift). Add sentence or two about what the business does/manufactures. The hourly rate for this position is $25.60 + $1.00 shift differential per hour. The hours for first shift are as follows; 3:30 pm - 12:00 am. Salaries are based upon candidate skills, experience, and qualifications, as well as market and business considerations. What you’ll do: Position Overview: • Assistance may be given other operators on proper operational procedures. • Perform housekeeping and other maintenance related duties as assigned by supervision. Essential Functions: • Perform various duties such as minor painting, sweeping, and removing dirt and litter from factory areas, locker rooms, and lavatories. Carry out all custodial duties in factory washrooms; remove chips and turnings from machines and tooling. Remove and replace access plates in order to drain machines. • Operate any vehicular power-driven floor cleaning equipment. Check oil and fuel levels and replenish when necessary. Change brushes when necessary. Communicate any problems with the equipment to the supervisor or repairman. • Perform various duties in cleaning machines, sump and storage tanks, and dust collectors. • Use mops, tubs, brooms, and dry scrubbers to clean floors. Operate sump pump and vacuum equipment to remove contents of sediment tanks and oil pans. • Use solutions, sponges, brushes, chamois, squeegees, low ladders, and polishes to clean walls, glass, metal, plumbing fixtures and partitions. • Use a hand rake and shovel to withdraw chips and random scrap pieces of metal from pans of machines into hand propelled chip buggies. . • Spread oil absorbent on floor surfaces. Use items such as sandpaper, scrapers, scoops, strong solvents, etc.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or GED from an accredited institution.
  • Must reside within a 50 mile radius of work location; no relocation benefit is provided.
  • This position requires use of information or access to hardware which is subject to the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR). All applicants must be U.S. persons within the meaning of ITAR. ITAR defines a U.S. person as a U.S. Citizen, U.S. Permanent Resident (i.e. 'Green Card Holder'), Political Asylee, or Refugee.
