About The Position

Do you love swimming and are looking for your first job? No experience required for this role other than a passion for aquatics! Must be at least 15 years of age and provide a completed MA youth work permit. Under the supervision of the Aquatics Manager, this position is responsible for assisting Aquatic Instructors during group swim lessons while training to become an instructor. This position will work only under the supervision of an instructor. Pay rate is $15.50 per hour.

Requirements

• Must be at least 15 years of age
• Provide a completed MA youth work permit
• Passion for aquatics

Responsibilities

• Assist aquatics instructors during swim classes.
• Be prepared for class.
• Have all equipment available and ready prior to swim class.
• Assist in putting away all equipment after swim classes.
• Maintain a professional image and manner consistent with the JCC mission and goals at all times.
• Ensure a clean and safe pool environment at all times.
• Engage in active listening with members in order to build relationships, understand each individual’s goals and interests and take the initiative to assist in the achievement of those goals.
• May be required to work one on one with individual students during group classes.
