About The Position

This position is responsible for supervising swimming lessons and providing structure to the swim lesson classes. As an instructor you guide and teach swimming skills while also enforcing pool regulations/water safety policies. The individual will help create a safe and positive environment that promotes members’ safety.

Requirements

• Has shown strong interpersonal and communication skills and the ability to work effectively with a wide range of constituencies in a diverse community.
• Proficient communication skills.
• Has shown competence in quick decision making.
• Complete required trainings and shadowing to teach lessons to kids.

Responsibilities

• Oversee the proper and safe use of the facility on a daily basis.
• Explaining and enforce rules, regulations and policies to ensure safety of patrons.
• Communicate with and assist both kids and parents in understanding our swim lessons.
• Complete daily tasks thoroughly.
• Warning swimmers regarding unsafe situations and maintain order in swimming areas.
• Recognize signs of danger and respond accordingly.
• Offer a positive customer service experience to patrons.
• Teach and guide young swimmers.
• Respond to upset patrons and offer solutions to concerns and complaints with a positive attitude.
• Confide in supervisor for support.
• Perform other related duties as assigned.
• Maintaining cleanliness and orderliness of all areas.
