The Club at Snoqualmie Ridge – ASSISTANT SWIM COACH The Club Snoqualmie Ridge is a one of the Seattle area’s premier private clubs boasting an 18-hole golf course designed by Jack Nicklaus, with an extensive practice facility. The 35,000 square foot Clubhouse features a pro shop, two member dining areas, banquet rooms, locker rooms and one of the most incredible views the Northwest has to offer. The Clubhouse also has fitness room, with a Junior Olympic outdoor swimming pool. The Club is located in Snoqualmie, Washington, approximately 30 minutes east of Seattle. The Club at Snoqualmie Ridge is currently seeking a Summer League Assistant Swim Coach at The Club at Snoqualmie Ridge to direct the summer swim team program that prepares swimmers ages 5-18 years to compete in the Midlakes Swim League in Washington State! The ideal candidate must be available to start in April 2021. This position is a seasonal position from early May through July.

Requirements

  • Passion and enthusiasm for swimming, competitive swimming, and children ages 5-18 years.
  • A dynamic and charismatic personality that will engage, inspire, and motivate swimmers.
  • Solid competitive swim coaching experience with demonstrated technical expertise.
  • Personal experience as a competitive swimmer.
  • Strong organizational and administrative skills.
  • Experience developing and implementing team-building activities.
  • Strong computer and social media skills.
  • Current American Red Cross Lifeguarding Certification/ First Aid/CPR/AED

Nice To Haves

  • USA coach certification preferred.
  • Experience with Swimmingly and/or HyTek Meet Manager and HyTek Team Manager – preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Establish a team culture in which swimmers exhibit team spirit and sportsmanship, are passionate about swimming, excited to come to practice each day, and thrive on competition.
  • Manage administrative aspects of the swim team, including but not limited to: swimmer registration, practice schedules, creating and executing age-appropriate workouts, meet strategy, meet entry, meet setup, and parent communication.
  • Work with the Sports Director and Aquatic Manager to develop and monitor the Team’s budget.
  • Attend swim team meetings with the Aquatic Manager and the Club’s Parent Representative. Bi-monthly.
  • Actively coach one or more practice groups.
  • Lead and motivate all Age Group Coaches.
  • Recruit, train, schedule, and motivate Junior Coaches.
  • Plan and execute team practices weekdays, May through July.
  • Manage swim competitions, including set up and take down.
  • Work with Parent Volunteer Coordinators to recruit and organize volunteers to assist at swim meets and other team events.
  • Responds to emails in a timely manner, within 1 business day.
