About The Position

This position is not a receptionist role and will not interact with the general public. Office is located on site and will be secluded from general public as to limit interruption. This position will use the Ascension's telecommunication system to answer and route incoming calls from emergency staff. Communicate codes, alerts, drills and other announcements for locations across the organization. Receive and relay internal and external calls and provide general information according to protocol. Operate beeper and paging system to contact personnel and code team. Communicate codes, alerts, drills and other announcements according to established policies and protocols, including disaster management plans.

Requirements

  • High School diploma equivalency OR 1 year of applicable cumulative job specific experience required.
  • Note: Required professional licensure/certification can be used in lieu of education or experience, if applicable.

Nice To Haves

  • Administrative and customer service experience preferred.
  • Dispatch, intercom or broadcast experience preferred due to announcing codes over hospital-wide systems.
