As a system integration software engineer, you will provide the operating environment for our application teams and support them with tools and troubleshooting for integration points between applications. Our Military Avionics Central System Integration team works across engineering disciplines to deliver world-class avionics systems to warfighters on tankers, helicopter, and cargo aircraft.

Requirements

  • Requires a Bachelor’s degree and 12 months or less of relevant professional work experience (excluding internships).
  • U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are authorized to access information under this program/contract

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with C/C++/Java programming languages
  • Experience with Python scripting
  • Experience in aerospace and defense

Responsibilities

  • You will create and maintain system configuration files, including configuration of operating systems, network interfaces, and ARINC-429 and MIL-STD-1553 bus I/O.
  • You will assist our Collins and third-party teams with lab systems, manage the software configuration on lab assets, and support hardware/software troubleshooting in our system integration facilities.
  • You will support the systems engineering teams with measurement of system technical performance measures, including CPU throughput, RAM utilization, and network and bus utilization.
  • You will create the Collins Avionics system field-loadable mediasets and manage the customer release of top-level Collins software products.
