About The Position

APPLE INC has the following available in Cupertino, California and various unanticipated locations throughout the USA. Determine root-cause of equipment issues to rapidly and effectively return them to operations and prevent delays to projects. Identify, recommend, test, and implement improvements to ensure high-quality performance of lab equipment. Support design and fabrication of project-specific fixtures and hardware for lab equipment. Support design, fabrication, and testing of custom lab equipment on critical development projects. Develop and implement maintenance plans for program critical equipment. Develop and maintain calibrations of precision testing equipment. Support install and bring up of new lab equipment. 40 hours/week. At Apple, base pay is one part of our total compensation package and is determined within a range. This provides the opportunity to progress as you grow and develop within a role. The base pay range for this role is between $147,400 - $220,900/yr and your base pay will depend on your skills, qualifications, experience, and location. Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree or foreign equivalent in Mechanical Engineering or related field and 2 years of experience in the job offered or related occupation.
• 2 years of experience with each of the following skills is required: Using 3D and 2D CAD modelling software to develop custom hardware fixtures and tooling Using mechanical design of pneumatic circuits for actuation systems including cylinders, valves, and flow controls Specifying and sourcing sensors used for controlling manufacturing equipment Using enterprise resource planning (ERP) systems to support engineering operations Utilizing Excel for analysis and visualization of experimental data Using failure analysis and diagnostic instruments to troubleshoot automation equipment Installing industrial equipment to implement new manufacturing processes Using machine shop tools (drill press, band-saw, grinders) to fabricate custom parts for assemblies Integrating mechanical systems with sensors, actuators, PLCs for manufacturing processes Generating design and test specifications for manufacturing processes
