As a Systems Engineer, you will serve as the FBM Program System Safety Engineer, focusing on performing and leading safety analysis across the FBM program.

Requirements

  • A BS in Engineering, Computer Science or similar technical degree.
  • US Citizenship with the ability to obtain a Top Secret Clearance.

Nice To Haves

  • Familiarity with Model Based Systems Engineering
  • Familiarity with Mil-STD-882
  • Familiarity with analyzing risk

Responsibilities

  • Assist in analyzing hardware and software, establishing and maintaining system safety requirements in support of the system safety program.
  • Assist in developing and/or updating Preliminary Hazard List (PHL), Preliminary Hazard Analysis (PHA), Functional Hazard Analyses (FHAs), and Safety Assessment Reports (Safety Assessment Report (SAR)) in accordance with MIL-STD-882.
  • Assist in preparing presentations and participating in Design Reviews, Test Readiness Reviews, Technical Interchange Meetings, and various working groups and safety review meetings
  • Developing and/or updating system safety documents to support customer, system safety, and contractual requirements
  • Assist in reviewing and providing input to requirements, design, and test procedures for adherence to system safety requirements
