About The Position

The System Technician III is a senior-level technical role responsible for building, integrating, testing, troubleshooting, and supporting complex automated systems. This position requires a high degree of independence, technical judgment, and collaboration across engineering, manufacturing, and automation teams. The technician will also support system installs, upgrades, and service activities both domestically and internationally, reporting to Area Leads.

Requirements

  • Proficient with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, Teams)
  • Commitment to maintaining a clean, safe, and organized workspace
  • Associate’s degree in engineering technology, Electrical Technology, or equivalent technical certification preferred
  • 6–9+ years of hands-on electrical and mechanical system experience
  • Experience working in a fast-paced manufacturing or automation environment
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong understanding of procedures, documentation, and verbal instructions
  • Experience with Jira, PLM, and/or ERP systems preferred
  • Ability to work in tight or confined locations and lift up to 40 lbs
  • Valid passport or Real ID and valid driver’s license required
  • Willingness and ability to travel domestically and internationally up to 60%

Responsibilities

  • Construct, integrate, test, and troubleshoot complex electrical and mechanical assemblies using schematics, wiring diagrams, and mechanical drawings
  • Perform advanced diagnostics and root-cause analysis on system-level issues
  • Lead or support system-level builds, FAT/SAT testing, and field installations
  • Identify, document, and communicate issues and improvement opportunities to engineering and operations teams
  • Inspect parts, subassemblies, and systems to ensure compliance with specifications and quality standards
  • Mentor and provide technical guidance to junior technicians (Technician I/II)
  • Maintain accurate documentation, build records, and change notes in Jira and PLM/ERP systems
  • Manage materials, tools, and inventory for assigned projects
  • Work independently across multiple projects while meeting schedule and quality requirements, with flexibility to support project needs, including occasional overtime during critical builds and installation phases
  • Maintain a safe, organized, and efficient production area following 5S and lean manufacturing principles
  • Travel up to 60% domestically and internationally to support system installs, troubleshooting, and customer sites
