Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical discipline, or equivalent combination of education, technical certifications, or work experience.
  • 8+ years of related experience.
  • Experience with Cognos Support and troubleshooting web applications.
  • Demonstrated experience with AWS cloud environment, including deployments, patches, and maintenance.
  • Experience with Linux (RHEL, CentOS, Scientific Linux) and Microsoft Windows (2008 R2, 2012 R2) platforms.
  • Experience with implementing and maintaining encryption technology.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with building AWS infrastructure or migrating private on-premise solutions to cloud hosting environments.
  • Firm Relational Database understanding (Oracle, MySQL, Postgres, Kafka).
  • Working knowledge of CloudFormation and Lambda.
  • Experience with scripting languages (Shell, Perl, and Python).
  • Experience with SysOPs/DevOps.
  • Ability to perform cloud performance analysis and optimize distributed cloud systems.

Responsibilities

  • Support enterprise web applications and software development teams.
  • Demonstrate an in-depth understanding of Linux/Unix and cloud technologies.
  • Upgrade, monitor, troubleshoot, and implement both on-premise and cloud technologies.
  • Support and troubleshoot web applications, including deployment of Tomcat applications using AWS.
  • Utilize application and server logs to identify and resolve issues.
  • Demonstrate experience and support for applications hosted in an AWS cloud environment.
  • Upgrade and maintain operating systems and application software on LINUX and Microsoft Windows platforms.
  • Perform software installations, including support for COTS applications.
  • Daily monitoring of the network, servers, cloud, and applications to ensure full availability and optimum performance.
  • Utilize software tools and logs to monitor network and system health.
  • Track and manage system certificates, privileged accounts, and database passwords.
  • Create and update documentation, including standard operating procedures and customer reports.
  • Support for system and data security requirements.
  • Implement and maintain encryption technology.
  • Demonstrate experience with web services.
