About The Position

Peraton requires a Systems Administrator to support the Special Operation Command Information Technology Enterprise Contract (SITEC) – 3 EOM. This position is located at RAF Mildenhall in the United Kingdom. The purpose of the Special Operations Forces Information Technology Enterprise Contract (SITEC) 3 Enterprise Operations and Maintenance (EOM) Task Order (TO) is to provide USSOCOM, its Component Commands, its Theater Special Operations Commands (TSOCs), and its deployed forces with Operations and Maintenance (O&M) services to maintain Network Operations (NetOps); maintain systems and network infrastructure; provide end user and common device support; provide configuration, change, license, and asset management; conduct training, and perform Install, Move, Add, Change (IMACs) services. The responsibilities and tasks associated with each requirement play a pivotal role to USSOCOM, the CIO/J6 organization, and ultimately the end-user who operate around the globe 24x7x365. The Systems Administrator plays a pivotal role within our IT infrastructure team, providing systems administration support in line with the SIE OPORD.

Requirements

Min 12 years with HS Diploma, 10 years with AS/AA degree, 8 years with BS/BA, or 6 years with MS/MA
Active DoD TS/SCI clearance
DoDD 8570.01-M IAT II certification is required
At least 6 years of experience in IT systems support
3 years of Systems Administrator experience
Demonstrated experience with Print servers, Active Directory, MECM, File servers, server 2019 or 2022, and installation of Windows 10 and 11 on workstations

Responsibilities

Performs tier one and two network and systems support in accordance with the SIE OPORD.
Provides support to systems hosting complex operational databases, software configuration control, and system interfaces for computer systems.
Maintains file servers, network access, documents, analyzes and troubleshoots systems anomalies to ensure optimum equipment performance.
Monitors and controls one or more mid-range application servers.
Studies program operating instructions to determine equipment setup and operations.
Monitors the operation of assigned applications and storage devices and determines the point of hardware or software failure.
Troubleshoots and configures systems in accordance with standard procedures to continue operations when individual units of a system malfunction.
Coordinates with software systems engineering or applications developers as necessary to correct errors.
Maintains operating records such as machine performance and production reports.
Installs operating system software, patches, and upgrades.
Analyzes, troubleshoots and resolves system hardware, software, and networking issues.
Configures, optimizes, fine-tunes, and monitoring operating system software and hardware.
Performs system backups and recovery.
Conducts server builds.
Completes troubleshooting issues related to infrastructure including VDI components.
Develops and maintains SOPs for the infrastructure including VDI Environment.
