About The Position

This recruitment will be used to fill one permanent position. Deep expertise in each of the following areas is essential: Software application development. Troubleshooting, root cause analysis, and debugging within legacy applications. Systems analysis and design; including database modeling. Software application maintenance. Business analysis for complex software applications. Customer support in information technology. In the Department of Consumer and Business Services’ (DCBS) Information Technology & Research section, allocates resources (people and technology) to deliver solutions, services, and expertise to support the department’s mission. Your role as systems analyst is essential in achieving this vision. Your expertise will be relied upon to deliver services in the following ways: Actively participate as part of a diverse and highly collaborative technical team that serves the Department. A key member of a small technical team who serves as the primary connection to its business customers for all things related to their systems, data, and technology. Provide key information about your customers’ systems, data, and business processes, to ensure that technical solutions are efficient and high quality. Actively work with your team to provide a variety of Tier 2 technical support that is fast-paced, and includes support of day-to-day operational tasks and daily interaction with customers to troubleshoot, resolve issues, define work, and answer questions. Requirements

  • Five (5) years of information systems experience with a combination of all the following: software development; IT systems analysis and design for software applications; business analysis; and customer support in information technology
  • An associate degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field, or completion of a two (2) year accredited vocational training program in information technology or related field; AND three (3) years of information systems experience with a combination of all the following: software development; IT systems analysis and design for software applications; business analysis; and customer support in information technology
  • A bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or related field AND one (1) year of information systems experience with a combination of all the following: software development; IT systems analysis and design for software applications; business analysis; and customer support in information technology
