About The Position

Corvid Technologies is seeking an Systems Engineer specializing in Modeling & Simulation (M&S) for GPS/GNSS and Assured PNT (A-PNT) programs. This role builds and operates scalable, repeatable analysis environments that enable architecture trade studies, integration planning, and performance validation of modular navigation solutions. The successful candidate enjoys combining systems engineering rigor with hands-on simulation development and high-volume analysis on high performance computing (HPC) environments to deliver statistically meaningful results that inform customer decisions and de-risk follow-on implementation. This position will join a small, growing team developing A-PNT hardware technology for a variety of applications. The engineer in this role will work with a multiple discipline team distributed across multiple Corvid locations. The role can be located at any Corvid facility with a preference for joining our team in the Anaheim area.

Requirements

  • Candidate must be a US Citizen and meet eligibility to obtain (and maintain) a Secret Clearance
  • Bachelor's Degree in an Engineering field (or relevant STEM discipline) and at least 10 years of experience related to modeling and simulation for navigation, GNC, RF, or related domains
  • Proficiency in Python and/or MATLAB for simulation development and data analysis; familiarity with C/C++ is a plus
  • Experience building repeatable analysis workflows and managing configuration/version control for models and datasets
  • Strong technical writing skills and comfort producing customer-facing reports and briefings

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with MOSA/WOSA/OMS concepts and modular interface design for defense systems
  • Experience with HPC execution of large-scale Monte Carlo campaigns and managing compute workflows
  • Experience with GNSS receiver stimulation/test setups or integrating GPS simulators into HIL environments
  • Familiarity with MBSE (SysML/Cameo) and requirements traceability practices

Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain M&S environments for GNSS/INS and A-PNT performance evaluation (3DOF/6DOF, Monte Carlo, and sensitivity studies)
  • Integrate models for receivers, sensors, RF environments, jamming/spoofing, and signals of opportunity in a modular, extensible framework
  • Establish configuration-controlled baselines and reproducible run workflows suitable for program decision milestones (DCR/PDR-like outputs)
  • Define analysis metrics and success criteria; produce technical reports, briefings, and supporting artifacts for customers and partners
  • Support MOSA-aligned architecture trade studies: identify insertion points, interface implications, compute/latency impacts, and verification needs
  • Bridge simulation and test by supporting HWIL/HIL integration and correlation to lab/flight data when available
  • Collaborate with navigation, systems, and software teams to ensure models reflect implementable architectures and constraints

Benefits

  • Employee Stock Ownership Plan via our generous 401(k) matching
  • Medical insurance via Blue Cross - including a PPO and high-deductible offering (with company HSA contribution)
  • Paid time off (PTO) based on years of industry experience (not tenure)
  • Career development and continuing education opportunities
  • Company-provided life, long-term and short-term disability insurance
  • Incentive opportunities to reward strong performance and corporate growth
