About The Position

The Mission Solutions & Payloads (MSP) center within Systems Integration & Test seeks talented Systems Engineers. Our MSP team, located in El Segundo, CA, develops advanced space payloads and enabling technologies for multi-INT ISR, missile warning / tracking / defense, Earth observation, and space protection, across all orbit regimes, for missions broadly supporting US Government (USG), commercial, and international markets. As a Systems Engineer, you will interface with the customers to understand mission needs and requirements, develop CONOPS, system architecture, system requirements, and manage qualification, verification and validation. You will also perform functional and physical analyses, allocation, and trade studies. Additionally, you will integrate hardware and software, develop test plans and procedures, debug and evaluate system functions and interfaces, and verify system requirements in support of final sell-off to the customer. We design, develop and integrate our systems, test them in the lab and in the field, measure and analyze performance, and make sure our products work the first time and every time. Every day has a different set of challenges. You'll be expected to collaborate across disciplines and partner with others to implement solutions. In this role, you'll get to know a little bit about every aspect of the system and have a direct hand in making it all work together, supporting teams of engineers engaged in design, development, integration and test efforts. You will support requirement development, engineering testing, integration and flight-testing, production, system deployment, and post-deployment support across the product lifecycle. Through Digital Transformation (DTx), you will perform these functions using a variety of methods and enabling technologies, including Model-Based Systems Engineering (MBSE) and Agile product development. You will have an opportunity to apply problem solving and critical thinking skills for conducting investigations into Operational Flight Programs. You will have an opportunity to work with senior engineers in a lab environment allowing for hands-on interaction with EW products. This position is an onsite role in El Segundo, CA. Test event support activity may require travel, which is not expected to exceed 25%.
