About The Position

LightGrid is looking for a Systems Engineer to work in Fort Meade, MD in support of a federal Client. Active TOP SECRET is required. Primary Responsibilities: Work with the program leadership team to define program-level architecture and engineering needs. Define system requirements for new capabilities. Define scope and high-level design of new capabilities. Apply system knowledge and engineering methodologies to design new capabilities and enhancements to the operational baseline. Create/update requirements and use case documentation. Create/update end user documentation such as user guides. Create/update architecture diagrams, flowcharts, graphics, and other documentation.

Requirements

  • Requires BS in Engineering (or a related discipline) and 4+ years of prior relevant experience or a Masters with 2+ years of prior relevant experience in lieu of a degree additional years of may be accepted.
  • Experience with systems engineering methodologies.
  • Experience with architecture diagrams.
  • General knowledge of IP voice telephony concepts.
  • Experience performing requirements analysis.
  • Self-starter with the ability to work independently and in a team environment.
  • Strong written and oral communication skills.
  • Strong customer relation skills.
  • DoD Top Secret clearance required.
  • Security+ Certification or other DOD 8570 IAT Lvl II Certification - Security+ Certification will need to be obtained within a reasonable timeframe after starting if the selected candidate does not already possess one when hired.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with network layered encryption topologies and methodologies.
  • Experience with HAIPE devices.
  • Experience with ITIL service delivery concepts and best practices.
  • Experience with change, configuration and performance management NetOps concepts.
  • Experience with system security, design, and architecture.
