About The Position

Systems Engineer (Associate, Experienced, or Lead) Company: The Boeing Company Boeing Space, Intelligence & Weapons Systems has exciting opportunities for Systems Engineers (Associate, Experienced, or Lead) to join our teams located in El Segundo, CA . As a Boeing Space, Intelligence & Weapons Systems Engineer, you will design, develop, and deliver state-of-the-art communication/payload systems for space-based applications for commercial, civil and/or national security programs. You will work with a highly-motivated team that works with domestic or international customers on their latest satellite systems. You will be a part of a systems engineering team that works with a large cross-functional group including customers, suppliers, hardware and software engineers, integration and test engineers, and senior technologists to ensure that the final products meet the mission objectives. You will perform system analyses and simulations for space communications/payload systems, optimize the system design by performing trade studies, flow down and verify subsystem and unit requirements, develop ConOps, support integration and testing, and/or validate interfaces. Project assignments typically span the complete program life cycle, from internal trades, concept studies and system definition, to satellite development, launch, and on-orbit operations and test. Examples of possible roles under our Systems Engineering discipline: Ground System Design and Mission Support Satellite Systems Space Communications Digital Signal Processing (DSP) System Administrator Systems Signal Intelligence Electrical Power and Harness Systems Concept of Operations Model-Based Systems Engineer (MBSE) Narrowband Payload Digital Payload Information Systems Security Modeling and Simulation Electrical Test System Architecture & Def Test & Integration RF Systems Optical Communication Systems Vehicle Engineer Position Responsibilities: Applies an interdisciplinary, collaborative approach to plan, design, develop and verify basic lifecycle balanced system of systems and system solutions. Evaluates customer/operational needs to define system performance requirements, integrate technical parameters and assure compatibility of all physical, functional and program interfaces. Performs analyses to optimize total system of systems and/or system architecture. Performs analyses for affordability, safety, reliability, maintainability, testability, human systems integration, survivability, vulnerability, susceptibility, system security, regulatory, certification, product assurance and other specialties quality factors into a preferred configuration to ensure mission success. Supports the planning, organization, implementation and monitoring of requirements management processes, tools, risk, issues, opportunity management and technology readiness assessment processes. Requirements

• This position requires an active U.S. Secret Security Clearance (U.S. Citizenship Required). (A U.S. Security Clearance that has been active in the past 24 months is considered active)
• Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering, Engineering Technology (including Manufacturing Technology), Computer Science, Data Science, Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry or non-US equivalent qualifications directly related to the work statement
• Associate, Level 2: Education/experience typically acquired through advanced technical education from an accredited course of study in engineering, engineering technology (includes manufacturing engineering technology), computer science, engineering data science, mathematics, physics or chemistry (e.g. Bachelor) and typically 2 or more years' related work experience or an equivalent combination of technical education and experience or non-US equivalent qualifications. In the USA, ABET accreditation is the preferred, although not required, accreditation standard.
• Experienced, Level 3: Education/experience typically acquired through advanced technical education from an accredited course of study in engineering, engineering technology (includes manufacturing engineering technology), computer science, engineering data science, mathematics, physics or chemistry (e.g. Bachelor) and typically 5 or more years' related work experience or an equivalent combination of technical education and experience or non-US equivalent qualifications. In the USA, ABET accreditation is the preferred, although not required, accreditation standard.
• Lead, Level 4: Education/experience typically acquired through advanced technical education from an accredited course of study in engineering, engineering technology (includes manufacturing engineering technology), computer science, engineering data science, mathematics, physics or chemistry (e.g. Bachelor) and typically 9 or more years' related work experience or an equivalent combination of technical education and experience or non-US equivalent qualifications. In the USA, ABET accreditation is the preferred, although not required, accreditation standard.

Nice To Haves

• Experienced, Level 3 : 5+ years of related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience
• Lead, Level 4: 10+ years of related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience
• Experience in Systems Engineering
• Experience working with space programs and/or aerospace programs
• Professional communication skills with aptitude or experience creating and presenting technical presentations to various groups of people
• Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint
