Lockheed Martin is looking for a PSOC (Propulsion Structures Ordnance Controls) Subsystem Manager to lead a team of Systems Engineers on FBM Modernization and Sustainment Programs report directly to the PSOC/Avionics Subsystem Senior Manager of Systems Engineering. The organization is distributed between Denver Colorado and Space Coast Florida. The position is located in the Denver Colorado area. The responsibilities of this position include: Technical management Planning (Cost/Schedule) with oversight/responsibilities for Subsystem Engineering tasks (certain CLIN/Contract elements) PSOC Risk management board Participant Resource deployment/alignment for multiple Systems Engineering disciplines including Requirements/Verification, Modeling, Analysis, Reliability, Integration, Testing. Provide overall leadership to subordinate leaders across individual subsystem integrated product teams (IPTs) Process alignment to FBM SEIT Drive Road to PDR and CDR Systems Engineering acumen Coordination and participation in major review stakeholders including Co-Chairs, panels, review team leads, and Independent Review Boards PSOC Interface definition and coordination Support digital transformation through the identification, trial and insertion of new advanced capabilities and tools

Requirements

  • Technical or formal engineering leader with experience task management and delegation
  • Experience as a Systems Engineering, with requirements verification, architecture & modeling, systems integration, and/or hardware testing
  • Demonstrated experience with strategic planning and translating these strategies into daily, weekly and monthly tactical actions and tasks
  • Project management experience including talent acquisition/staffing, task planning, earned value management, and/or proposal development
  • Active Secret clearance and the ability to obtain a Top Secret clearance

Nice To Haves

  • Technical Bachelor's degree in Engineering or related field from an accredited college.
  • Proven track record of effective customer coordination and collaboration
  • Demonstrated knowledge of the FBM program and Trident II (D5) Reentry
  • Familiar with the PSOC subsystems within the FBM program
  • Experience in the design, integration and testing of Missile and Missile Weapon Systems
  • Demonstrated experience with Avionics and Mechanical Design
  • Propulsion and flight control (boost and post-boost) design experience
  • Demonstrated ability to motivate and energize a geographically distributed team
  • The candidate must have the ability to effectively communicate, both internally with peers and Program leadership as well as externally with customer counterparts
  • Demonstrated experience with problem-solving
  • demonstrated experience with leadership fundamentals such as Full Spectrum Leadership imperatives
  • Financial acumen such as control account management (CAM)
  • It is desired the candidate has a top secret clearance
  • Minimum of 10 years total experience, including 2 years demonstrated engineering leadership experience, 5 years of experience in the application of Engineering processes and disciplines, and demonstrated experience in leading an Engineering or Design organization
