About The Position

If you are adept at IT, understanding systems, identifying, installing, operating, documenting, and maintaining technical security solutions, and enjoy collaborating with multiple teams? We may have the perfect role for you! As a Systems Security Engineer II, you will be using your skills and expertise to maintain our secure operating systems, networks, security monitoring, and tuning. You'll be supporting the management of our IT security systems and applications, conducting risk and vulnerability assessments, and implementing security controls. You’ll work as part of a motivated team to provide best-in-breed security solutions to meet our demanding customer requirements. As SNC's corporate team, we provide the company and its business areas with strategic direction and business support spanning executive management, finance and accounting, operations, human resources, legal, IT, information security, facilities, marketing, and communications.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Systems Security, Network Engineering, Information Technology, or related Engineering discipline and typically 2+ years of relevant experience
  • Relevant experience may be considered in lieu of required education
  • Experience in NIST 800-53
  • Experience in Risk Management Framework (RMF) controls
  • A solid understanding of Network concepts and operating systems
  • Excellent written and verbal communication
  • IMPORTANT NOTICE: This position requires current/active Secret U.S. Security Clearance.
  • U.S. Citizenship status is required as this position needs an active U.S. Security Clearance for employment.
  • Non-U.S. Citizens may not be eligible to obtain a security clearance.

Nice To Haves

  • One or more applicable certifications such as (Security+, Network+, MCSE, Linux, and/or CCNP Security Certifications)
  • Experience working in a distributed team

Responsibilities

  • Will assist in patching and secure system maintenance activities
  • Responsible for day-to-day customer tasks such as Data Transfer, New User Accounts and other customer service tasks
  • Will support Splunk dashboard activities
  • Responsible for Power Automate workflow automations
