This position requires working onsite in our Chantilly, VA office location five (5) days per week. This position is best suited for an individual who is confident working without in-person team support and displays the knowledge to troubleshoot and solve customer requests.
Requirements
- Associate degree required
- 5+ years of technical / vocational IT experience
- Must be able to lift up to 75 pounds; work on ladders and pull wiring/cables
- Desire to delight and deescalate customer issues and requests
- Clearance: TS/SCI POLY required to start
- Location: Onsite in Chantilly, VA office 5 days/week
- US Citizenship required
Nice To Haves
- IT-related certifications (i.e. ITIL V4, Sec+, Net+)
- Experience with ticketing systems (i.e. ServiceNow, Remedy, etc.)
Responsibilities
- Provides installation, maintenance and troubleshooting support for information systems applications and related peripheral hardware
- Set up workstations with computers and necessary peripheral devices (switches, printers etc.)
- Check computer hardware (HDD, mice, keyboards etc.) to ensure functionality
- Install and configure appropriate software (Win10-11) and functions according to specifications
- Ensure security and privacy of networks and computer systems
- Provide orientation and guidance to users on how to operate new software and computer equipment
- Organize and schedule upgrades and maintenance without deterring others from completing their work
- Perform troubleshooting to diagnose and resolve problems (repair or replace parts, etc.)
- Maintain records/logs of repairs and fixes and maintenance schedule
- Identify computer or network equipment shortages and place orders
