About The Position

Key Responsibilities Recruitment Strategy & Execution Own and manage full-cycle recruitment for store-level roles (cashiers, clerks, department leads, store managers) and selected corporate roles. Design and execute high-volume hiring strategies to support new store openings, seasonal demand, and turnover management. Partner closely with HR, Operations, and Store Leadership to forecast hiring needs and align recruiting plans with business goals. Team & Vendor Management Lead, coach, and develop internal recruiters or recruiting coordinators. Manage relationships with staffing agencies, job boards, and community partners to ensure cost-effective hiring. Track agency performance, negotiate contracts, and optimize recruiting spend. Employer Branding & Sourcing Strengthen employer branding across local markets through job postings, career fairs, referrals, and community outreach. Build strong pipelines for bilingual (English/Spanish or Chinese/English) frontline talent. Develop partnerships with local schools, workforce programs, and community organizations. Process, Compliance & Reporting Ensure all hiring practices comply with California labor laws, EEOC guidelines, and internal policies. Optimize ATS workflows, interview processes, and onboarding handoffs. Monitor and report on key recruiting metrics (time-to-fill, cost-per-hire, retention, quality of hire).

Requirements

  • Bilingual - Fluent in English and Mandarin - Proficiency in Mandarin is preferred as the successful candidate will be required to communicate with business partners in China.
