About The Position

As a Contract Recruiter at MKS Instruments, you will partner with leaders and hiring teams across the Americas region to execute full‑cycle recruiting strategies that attract high‑quality talent for both Manufacturing & Operations (hourly/technical) roles and Engineering & Corporate functions. In this role, you will report to the Manager, Talent Acquisition. This is a hybrid position offering flexibility to work remotely from home 2 days per week and onsite 3 days from the local MKS office. Must be flexible to work onsite or from employer event locations on days when MKS may be hosting interview days or attending local community and employer related events. Preferred location is our Corporate HQ in Andover, MA.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience
  • 2 years of in-house recruiting experience
  • Demonstrated ability to recruit for both high-volume manufacturing and operations roles as well as professional engineering and corporate functions (supply chain, finance, legal, operations, quality, etc.)
  • Strong sourcing skills, including passive outreach and cold‑calling
  • Ability to manage a high requisition load (30+) with strong organization and prioritization
  • Experience documenting candidate screening evaluations and using applicant tracking systems
  • Ability to work flexible hours to engage candidates on 2nd and 3rd shift schedules

Nice To Haves

  • Experience recruiting for frontline manufacturing, technician, and operations positions
  • Familiarity with Workday, Indeed, LinkedIn Recruiter, or similar ATS/CRM tools
  • Strong negotiation skills and experience supporting compensation offers

Responsibilities

  • Developing and administering staffing, employment, and recruiting programs that support hiring needs across manufacturing, operations, engineering, and corporate functions
  • Partnering with hiring managers to document job requirements and open requisitions accurately
  • Determining and managing appropriate recruiting sources, including job boards, online platforms, and other advertising channels
  • Promoting the MKS employer brand to candidates, agencies, and external partners
  • Sourcing, screening, and engaging talent—building strong pipelines through proactive outreach and networking
  • Pre‑screening resumes and leveraging evaluation tools to identify qualified candidates efficiently
  • Documenting candidate assessments, interview feedback, and hiring decisions
  • Supporting offer development and compensation discussions in partnership with hiring managers
  • Coordinating job postings with job boards and professional networking groups to support recruitment advertising and candidate flow
  • Supporting compliance‑related programs such as affirmative action, college recruiting, or career development initiatives as needed
