About The Position

The Talent Manager plays a critical role in building a future-ready workforce by attracting, developing, and retaining high-potential talent aligned to the organisation’s long-term strategy. This role goes beyond traditional recruitment, with a strong focus on early careers programmes, career planning, succession planning, leadership development and integrated talent management across the employee lifecycle. You will partner closely with business leaders, HR, TA, People & Culture, and external stakeholders to design and deliver talent strategies that support growth, capability building, and employee engagement—particularly within technical, IT, and data center environments.

Requirements

  • Proven experience in Talent Management ideally within technology, engineering, or infrastructure-driven environments.
  • Experience designing or supporting talent and leadership development programmes, career pathways, or workforce development initiatives.
  • Strong understanding of succession planning, career planning, and skills development.
  • Experience contributing to employer branding, engagement, and retention strategies.
  • Talent & Workforce Insight: Ability to analyze data and trends to inform talent decisions and future planning.
  • Stakeholder Partnership: Strong relationship-building skills with leaders, hiring managers, and external partners.
  • Technical Acumen: Understanding of technical, IT, and data centre roles and skills.
  • Communication: Clear, confident communicator with the ability to influence and engage diverse audiences.
  • Program Design: Capability to design and deliver scalable talent and development initiatives.
  • Inclusion & Belonging: Demonstrated commitment to building inclusive talent practices and early-career access opportunities.

Responsibilities

  • Design and deliver scalable talent acquisition strategies with a strong focus on early careers, including graduates, apprentices, interns, and emerging talent pipelines.
  • Build sustainable partnerships with universities, training providers, early-career networks, and industry bodies.
  • Ensure an inclusive, engaging, and high-quality candidate experience from attraction through onboarding.
  • Contribute to workforce planning by identifying future capability needs and building proactive talent pipelines.
  • Support career framework and career pathway development, enabling clear progression, mobility, and skills growth across the organisation.
  • Partner with leaders to embed career conversations, mentoring, and coaching into the employee experience.
  • Design and deliver structured leadership development programmes that build leadership capability and support future organisational growth.
  • Partner with senior leaders to identify leadership capability gaps and implement targeted development initiatives, including coaching, mentoring, and stretch assignments.
  • Lead and facilitate talent review processes, including the implementation and management of 9-box grid assessments to evaluate performance, potential, and leadership readiness.
  • Work with business leaders to identify high-potential talent and create tailored development and progression plans.
  • Track and analyse leadership development outcomes and talent data to inform workforce planning and continuous improvement of talent programmes.
  • Support the evolution of performance management practices, promoting continuous feedback, development-focused reviews, and growth-oriented goal setting.
  • Analyse engagement and retention data to identify trends, risks, and opportunities, particularly for early-career and high-potential populations.
  • Lead or contribute to engagement initiatives that support retention, internal mobility, and employee experience KPIs.
  • Strengthen the organisation’s employer brand as an Employer of Choice, particularly within early-career and technical talent markets.
  • Partner on social media, recruitment marketing, events, and community engagement initiatives to increase brand visibility.
  • Represent the organisation at careers fairs, industry events, and networking forums.
  • Stay up to date with market trends, talent intelligence, and best practices across talent acquisition, early careers, and talent management.
  • Use data and insights to inform decision-making and continuously improve talent processes, tools, and candidate/employee experience.
  • Support the VP People & Culture with broader People initiatives related to culture, engagement, and capability building.
