About The Position

BMA is seeking a Task Order Project Manager to support the DLA JETS Defense Agencies Initiative (DIA) Program Management Office (PMO) program. This is a fully remote, part-time position and contingent on contract award. Job Summary Key elements of this work consist of but are not limited to: Performing as the project manager for a large, complex task order. Assisting the Program Manager in working with the Government Contracting Officer, Contracting Officer Representative, other task order-level Task Order Managers, and Government management personnel and customer agency representatives. Under the guidance of the Program Manager, being responsible for the overall management, quality, schedule, and cost of the task order. Managing task order employees. Managing the development, updating, and maintenance of system engineering plans, systems engineering policies, standard operating procedures, job aids, architecture and design artifacts, and other related systems engineering documentation. Ensuring task order technical solutions and schedules are implemented in a timely manner. Submitting progress and status reports including Monthly Progress Reports and Monthly Status Reports, project management plans, DoD 8570.01 and 8140 reports, license and trend analysis reports, acquisition program documentation, independent verification and validation test plans, test and evaluation plans and reports, quality control plans, and briefing and meeting reports and information. Supporting and participating in program planning reviews, status assessments, technical reviews, working groups, after action reviews, in-progress reviews, and updating integrated master schedules and work breakdown structures.

Requirements

  • BA or BS in a relevant field or four additional years of related experience.
  • Project Management Professional certification.
  • 5+ years of project management experience with progressively higher levels of responsibility in the IT public or private sector or as a consultant.
  • 5+ years of leadership experience with progressively higher levels of responsibility in the IT public or private sector or as a consultant.
  • 1+ year of managing 30 or more employees.
  • There is a Secret Security clearance requirement for this position.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience supporting DLA contracts.
  • Familiarity with DoD budget, finance, and accounting operations.
  • Familiarity with the DoD Acquisition Milestone process.
  • Familiarity with the National Defense Authorization Act, Federal Financial Management Improvement Act, DoD Financial Management Regulations, and similar Federal and DoD policies and regulations.
  • Familiarity with the Planning, Programming, Budgeting and Execution system, Program Objective Memorandum, Program Budget Review, Budget Estimate Submission, Business Capability Acquisition Cycle, and Annual Budget Guidance.
  • Familiarity with license management support for Oracle, Microfocus, and similar platforms.
  • Familiarity with risk management, economic and business case analysis, analysis of alternatives, and cost and price analysis.
  • Familiarity with Configuration Control Working Groups and Configuration Control Steering Groups.
  • Familiarity with system engineering plans and creating and maintaining standard operating procedures, job aids, architecture and design artifacts, and related systems engineering documentation.
  • Familiarity with industry best practices focusing on cybersecurity, cyber resiliency, and cyber trends, techniques, and methodologies.
  • Familiarity with Agile playbooks, strategies, policies, and roadmaps.
