About the position
Total Access Urgent Care’s accredited EMT program is committed to providing quality education to prepare you for a rewarding career in healthcare at Total Access Urgent Care. Our experienced instructors are passionate about teaching and developing the next generation of healthcare heroes. After completing our comprehensive program, you will be prepared to take the National Registry EMT (NREMT) Exam and become a fully-certified EMT. To support the next step in your healthcare career, we reimburse 100% of tuition for students who are committed to serving the community at Total Access Urgent Care centers for at least 12 months after earning EMT licensure. The Mission of Total Access EMT is to empower others to provide kind, proficient, and effective care in every community. This program is designed by top-notch medical professionals who have worked as first responders in the military, on ambulances, and in hospitals. Utilizing their combined experiences and best practices the Total Access EMT program will prepare you for your National Registry EMT (NREMT) exam and an exciting and fulfilling career as a licensed EMT beginning your career at Total Access Urgent Care.
Responsibilities
- Complete the EMT program and prepare for the National Registry EMT (NREMT) Exam.
- Participate in classes held at the Bridgeton Total Access Urgent Care.
- Attend mandatory skills weekend training.
- Demonstrate effective communication skills and documentation techniques.
- Learn medical terminology, basic anatomy, physiology, and life span development.
- Develop competent assessment skills, including vital signs for various populations.
- Practice CPR skills and airway management.
- Understand general pharmacology and care techniques for various emergencies.
Requirements
- Passionate about working in healthcare.
- Value a team-focused, fast-paced work culture.
- Must be 18 years old and up.
- Must have an unexpired Driver's License.
- Must have active Health Insurance.
- Must be able to pass background check & drug screen before start of class.
- $200 non-refundable tuition application fee.
- $1000 Tuition paid in full to secure your seat in class.
- Ready to work at Total Access Urgent Care (TAUC) for 12 months after graduation for tuition reimbursement.
