Admin Assistant (must have experience from an accounting or tax firm) Description Key Responsibilities and Duties • Document Management: Organize, scan, and manage client documents, including W-2s, 1099s, and financial statements, both physically and electronically. Maintain organized filing systems and ensure all documentation is complete and accurate for audit readiness. • Tax Return Processing Support: Assist with the assembly, collation, and processing of various tax returns (e.g., individual, corporate, partnership) and extensions. This may include data entry into tax software (like CCH Axcess, Lacerte, or ProConnect) and coordinating the electronic filing process. • Communication and Client Service: Serve as a primary point of contact for clients, answering basic inquiries, managing the inflow of client data via portals, and following up on missing information. They also handle correspondence with tax authorities like the IRS or state departments of revenue. • General Administrative Support: Manage calendars, schedule meetings, process mail (including certified mail and FedEx), order office supplies, and prepare professional correspondence and reports. • Workflow Coordination: Monitor and update tax project statuses in workflow databases to ensure deadlines are met, particularly during peak tax seasons
