About The Position

A typical day as a Tax Administrative Assistant might include the following: Provide operational administrative support to the tax department that optimizes efficiency organization and client satisfaction. Process and assemble tax returns, extensions, e-filings and tax organizers. Prepare correspondence, proofread and format documents Assist in maintaining databases, new client setup, spreadsheets, project tracking, due date reports, etc. and ensure they are accurate. Work collaboratively to provide overflow and backup support for other team members. Ability to professionally interact and effectively communicate with partners, managers and staff. Be a positive influence for the administrative team and the tax department. Perform other duties as assigned by the Tax or Admin Department Head. May assist the office and/or other departments with administrative tasks and provide backup support to the Front Desk. Utilize tax and accounting software to complete a wide range of tasks. Regular and predictable attendance in office. Demonstrate an ability to multi-task and meet deadlines. Open to new challenges and assist with special projects as requested. Requirements

  • You have a high school diploma and 3+ or more years of experience in administrative support.
  • You thrive in a high-volume, fast-paced work environment.
  • You are a multi-tasking master, and there has never been a deadline you could not meet.
  • You hold yourself to the highest professional standards and maintain strict client confidentiality.
  • You love collaborating and being part of a team, but also enjoy working alone with limited supervision.
  • You have flexibility to work additional hours (including weekends) if needed during peak periods of the year.
  • You embrace technology and can demonstrate you have the skills to use computer-based technology to complete different tasks.
  • You are proficient in: Microsoft Excel: including the ability to create spreadsheets, perform data entry, use basic formulas, format worksheets. Microsoft Word: including formatting, creating tables, headers & footers. DocuSign: including creating, sending, and tracking documents for e-signature. Adobe Acrobat: including creating, editing, and commenting on PDFs. Microsoft Outlook and Teams.
  • You have strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • This position requires prolonged standing and sitting, some bending, stooping, and stretching, and the ability to lift 20 lbs.
  • Must be authorized to work in the United States now or in the future without visa sponsorship.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience in public accounting administration is a plus.
  • Familiarity with CCH Access Tax, Document, CCH Engagement and experience with Autoflow and Microsoft CRM (Springboard), a plus.
