JOB SUMMARY – To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. Primary responsibilities include routine and non-routine tax and accounting tasks in all aspects of direct and indirect domestic and international tax, including: preparation of tax returns, journal entry preparation, account reconciliations, data maintenance, and other tasks.

Requirements

  • Bachelor Level of Degree in the Accounting or related field of study
  • 0-2 years of demonstrated experience in accounting or tax
  • Prior experience with ERP accounting systems--Oracle preferred
  • Proven ability to work in team environment
  • Effective time management skills
  • Ability to manage sensitive data and maintain confidentiality at all times
  • Proficient in the following computer software applications: Microsoft Office
  • Exceptional interpersonal skills.
  • Strong organizational skills.
  • Strong communication skills (written and verbal).
  • Ability to effectively communicate both internally and externally.
  • Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance, instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence.
  • Work safely and follow all OSHA regulations and company safety policies and procedures.
  • For all on-the-job injuries or accidents, must notify manager/supervisor immediately.
  • Exposure to standard office environment
  • Ability to frequently lift and/or move up to 15lbs
  • Ability to occasionally lift and/or move up to 50lbs
  • Ability to regularly sit or stand for extended periods of time
  • This position requires some travel up to 5% of the time

Responsibilities

  • Assist with the preparation of quarterly and annual Global income tax provision prepared in accordance with USGAAP ASC 740, including financial statements and related footnotes.
  • Preparing transaction tax (VAT, sales/use, business & occupation, gross receipts, and property tax) returns for monthly, quarterly and annual filings.
  • Interpreting and complying with state, local and international statutes, regulations, and legislation
  • Month end closing journal entry preparation.
  • Assist in tax planning projects and other tax-related initiatives.
  • Ensures compliance with tax related internal controls.
  • Perform period end account reconciliations (balance sheet and income statement accounts)
  • Assist with preparation of federal, state and local, international income tax returns, extensions and estimated payments.
  • Participates with federal and state tax audits.
  • Assist with the development and implementation of process improvements
  • May perform other duties as assigned
