About The Position

This role offers a strategic opportunity to lead investor relationship management and upper-tier closings for tax credit equity funds. You will act as the primary point of contact for investors, coordinating fund structuring, due diligence, and closing processes while collaborating closely with acquisitions, underwriting, and fund management teams. The position requires deep expertise in Low-Income Housing Tax Credit (LIHTC) programs and a proven ability to build strong, long-term investor partnerships. You will play a key role in capital raising efforts, contribute to process improvements, and represent the organization at industry events. This is a high-impact, senior-level role ideal for a proactive, detail-oriented professional who thrives in a fast-paced environment and enjoys working cross-functionally to deliver results.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree required; advanced degree preferred.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in housing tax credit equity or related investor relations roles.
  • Proven track record closing tax credit equity funds, including multi-investor or proprietary funds.
  • Strong communication and writing skills, with the ability to engage senior-level financial professionals.
  • Exceptional organizational skills, able to prioritize multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
  • Negotiation skills and the ability to influence outcomes effectively.
  • Collaborative mindset with the capacity to work independently and take ownership of deliverables.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with LIHTC investors, serving as the main point of contact throughout fund processes.
  • Manage investment closings, coordinating legal documentation, investor requirements, and internal approvals.
  • Collaborate with acquisitions and fund management teams to structure funds, set parameters, develop timelines, and monitor fund characteristics from an investor perspective.
  • Oversee investor due diligence, coordinating responses to inquiries and ensuring timely, accurate communication.
  • Provide ongoing updates and insights to internal stakeholders, ensuring alignment and transparency across departments.
  • Participate in capital raising efforts and assist with onboarding new proprietary investors as needed.
  • Stay current on LIHTC market trends, regulatory changes, and investor practices, and represent the organization at industry conferences and meetings.
