We are seeking candidates interested in part-time or full-time paid internship opportunities starting in January 2027 in either Rochester or Ithaca, NY.

Requirements

• Accounting students who are currently enrolled in an undergraduate program and in their sophomore through senior year or enrolled in a graduate accounting degree program are eligible for this position.
• Students must be returning to school to be eligible.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills along with strong organizational skills are required.
• Functional knowledge of the MS Office Suite including Word and Excel is required.
• The ideal candidate must be able to meet deadlines, be proactive, and have solid multi-tasking skills and strong analytical ability.

Responsibilities

• Training on and becoming proficient in our software (CaseWare and CCH Axcess).
• Preparing 1099s, W-2s, Individual income tax returns, and extensions using a highly technical paperless computer system.
• Gaining a basic understanding of how tax work flows through the office.
• Improving basic organization and planning skills.
