On-site expectations may evolve over time to support business needs, with clear communication provided in advance. <<>><<>><<>><<>><<>><<>><<>><<>><<>><<>> JOB DESCRIPTION Location Requirement This position is open only to candidates who currently reside in one of the following approved locations: San Diego, CA Job Summary The Professional 3, Tax Operations plays a key role in supporting SBTPG’s Tax Operations systems. This role is responsible for analyzing, reporting, and executing day-to-day tasks related to disbursement processes, including refund transfers, check issuance, prepaid card loads, and ACH payments. Key Responsibilities Develop and manage partnerships with State, IRS, and partner organizations Coordinate transactions between organizations Ensure reporting and data requests are fulfilled Develop and manage partnerships with State, IRS, and partner organizations Coordinate transactions between organizations Ensure reporting and data requests are fulfilled Create and update reconciliations for multiple products and programs including: Fed ACH Account incoming funds $30+ billion annually Internal Bank Transactions totaling $200+ billion annually Customer Collections Programs totaling $50+ million annually Lending Programs totaling $300+ million annually Responsible for reconciling transactions for these programs and researching variations Respond to inquiries from internal and external teams in conjunction with current responsibilities Research differences and issues related to current responsibilities Cross-functional roles with cross training available throughout team Responsible for being POC with product and development teams when fixing or building new tools and features related to current responsibilities Maintain compliance with all government and company standards through approved tools, templates, policies, procedures, and process learnings Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with internal teams (Product, Marketing, Compliance, Legal, and Operations) to support partner initiatives and resolve issues. Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, or related field; equivalent experience considered
  • 3+ years of experience in finance, analytics
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to influence and collaborate across teams.
  • Strong organizational and communication skills
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications
  • Ability to work in the U.S. without sponsorship
  • Ability to meet the location requirement outlined above

  • Preferred skills in SQL, MSTR
  • Experience working in financial services, fintech, or tax-related industries preferred.
