About The Position

The Tax Project Manager, Digital Transformation & Innovation will be an integral
member of the BDO Tax Digital Transformation and Innovation team, primarily
focusing on managing technology development projects. While the Manager will
oversee the technology product, the Manager will ensure the project's overall
success from initiation to closure, by ensuring projects are delivered on time,
within scope and on budget. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in
project management and a clear understanding of both waterfall and agile
development methodologies, allowing for a flexible and effective approach to
project delivery.

The Manager will coordinate with business stakeholders, DT&I product management
team, software developers and DT&I deployment teams to create and implement
project plans to assist and guide technology solutions that meet the needs of
our clients and professionals.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree required; focus in Business or Information Technology, preferred
• Experience with project management, mentoring teams, and software development lifecycle, required
• Five (5) years of experience serving as a project manager, project coordinator, or similar role, with a focus on technology development projects, preferred
• Experience working in the tax or accounting professional services industry tax, preferred
• Experience working with multinational teams, preferred
• Proficient with project management tools, required
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Excellent collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams
• Excellent facilitation skills
• Strong knowledge of project management principles
• Strong knowledge of software development lifecycle
• Strong organizational skills, specifically the ability to meet project deadlines with a focus on details
• Strong leadership skills
• Strong problem-solving and conflict resolution skills
• Ability to work in a deadline-driven environment and handle multiple projects simultaneously

Responsibilities

• Leads the project planning and implementation of project plans of technology development projects within the Tax Digital Transformation and Innovation portfolio
• Works closely with the Product Manager and Deployment Lead to ensure project alignment with product objectives and company goals are being met in accordance with agreed upon project plans
• Utilizes a hybrid project management approach, incorporating elements of both waterfall and agile methodologies, to effectively manage project timelines, scope, and resources
• Reviews and analyzes project financials and budget to actual projections
• Employs project management tools and software to track project progress, manage resources, and communicate status updates to stakeholders
• Facilitates communication and collaboration among project team members and stakeholders to ensure clear understanding of project objectives, timelines, and deliverables
• Identifies and manages project risks and issues, implementing mitigation strategies to minimize impact on project success
• Ensures project documentation is maintained and updated throughout the project lifecycle
• Conducts post-project evaluations to capture learnings and improve future project management practices
• Other duties as required
