About The Position

As a Tax & Structuring Professional based in the United States, you will play a key role in advising on US deal structuring and supporting EQT’s investment teams. This is an opportunity to contribute to complex transactions in a global private markets environment, working closely with colleagues across funds, investment and operations teams. About the Tax & Structuring team The Tax & Structuring team operates globally across EQT’s business segments and supports investment teams with tax advisory and structuring expertise throughout the investment lifecycle. The team partners closely with deal professionals, fund operations and external advisors to deliver sustainable and well-governed structuring solutions. In the US, the team works across business lines within Private Capital and Real Assets, contributing to both domestic and cross-border transactions. The team also plays an important role in developing internal best practices and strengthening EQT’s tax governance framework. About the role This role focuses primarily on US deal structuring, with exposure to global projects. You will serve as a trusted advisor to investment teams, providing practical and commercially sound tax guidance across transactions and portfolio matters.

Requirements

  • Degree in tax, law, accounting or a related field.
  • Minimum 8 years of professional experience in US M&A tax advisory and deal structuring.
  • Strong experience working on complex transactions, including acquisitions and exits.
  • Solid understanding of US tax considerations in private equity or private markets environments.
  • Ability to manage multiple stakeholders and projects in a structured and organized way.
  • Clear and effective communication skills, with the ability to translate technical matters into practical guidance.

Responsibilities

  • Lead and support US tax workstreams in acquisitions, exits, restructurings and financing transactions.
  • Advise on structuring considerations, including cross-border matters, withholding tax and cash repatriation strategies.
  • Collaborate closely with investment professionals, fund operations and external advisors to develop sustainable and aligned structuring solutions.
  • Review and assess external tax advice, ensuring it aligns with EQT’s governance standards and long-term objectives.
  • Contribute to the development of internal positions and guidance on key tax topics.
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives, including knowledge sharing and training for colleagues.
  • Manage complex projects independently, ensuring clear communication and timely delivery.
  • Support digitalization efforts by integrating technology and data-driven approaches into tax processes.
